Ben's Hardtail
2023-08
Ben had been riding road and gravel bikes but was new to riding singletrack. I knew He would pick it up super quick with his fitness and background in trail running.
He wanted something that could handle multi day bikepacking trips like the Colorado Trail, but also fun to pedal locally. We settled on a bike built around a 140mm travel 44mm offset fork, a perfect middle ground between super aggressive and agile XC. 29er wheels, a slack front end at 66.6 deg and a 430mm rear end keeps things fun pedaling long climbs and steep descents. Ben did not hold back with parts on this build and it came out looking great.
Enjoy the ride, Ben!

Miguel’s ATB
2023-04
Miguel had been pedaling a poseidon something or other, when he reached out about a rigid 27.5”+ Arizona dirt road rambler. He already has a squish bike so if the trail got steep and tight he’d likely gravitate towards that, but forest “roads” here in Northern Arizona are a gamble, and sometimes you don't roll those 7’s or 11’s.
This bike has a longer rear end for stability loaded with bags and gear and a bit steeper head angle to keep things lively up front. He also wanted dropper compatibility so I had to get creative with bottle mounts, as the seat tube was going to be tight. A 3 pack of mounts under the downtube solved that problem.
Miguel Rides a ton! Make sure to give him a wave if you see him cruising around town.

My “Do it all bike”
2022-06
As someone who has the ability to build any bike they want, for some reason I decided it would be a good idea to build a Swiss army Knife of a bike.
With a set of 700c hoops and 35c slicks, it's a road bike, Swap out for 650b wheels with 55c rubber and you have a fun gravel rig.Why ? I've really only kept the 55c knobbies on since I've built it, but the idea of swapping wheels and keeping the same geometry was a fun idea and I wanted to try it. This bike is super fun to pedal, and the wishbone rear stays always have people asking questions on group rides.
This one will likely go unpainted, and has already developed a beautiful patina, the perfect desert paint scheme.
